I recently finished a new novel called The Stranger at the Door, by Henry O. Arnold. The subject matter drew me to it since it mirrors that of the book I’m currently pitching to agents. Here’s the skinny:

A young woman is pushed out of a van in front of an inner city church. She’s in very rough shape and appears to have been traumatized. When she begs the pastor not to call the police, he agrees but then he and his family must decide what to do with her.

The topic raised in this well-told and realistic tale is human trafficking, something few Christian authors are willing to touch. Mr. Arnold pulls it off well, with a believable cast and a tight plot, replete with twists and turns. Particularly  impressive is the character arch of the stranger herself.

Though perhaps not a beach read t’s a quick one that you won’t want to put down.

On a personal note I would appreciate your feedback on the subject of human trafficking. If you email me your opihion about the topic, whether you would or would not read a novel involving the subject, I will send you a free Christian novel postage paid!
